The Company (NGCL) will always set the objectives to comply its duties with the occupational Health and Safety and policy to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the business and eliminate all hazards at the workplace environment.

 

Namwahi General Company Limited is committed at:

      • Ensuring that all related activities and processes fully comply with all relevant national and international standards and regulations.
      • Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment to make sure that all employees are always safe.
      • Preventing accidents and work-related ill health cases and provide adequate control of health and safety risks arising from work activities.
      • Providing adequate training to ensure employees are competent to do their work safely and able to identify all the hazards and take appropriate control measures.
      • Ensuring that all the employees use proper PPE in all working hours to safeguard themselves and others from hazards.
      • Providing awareness in switching off /on, isolation, lock out tagging and permit to work procedures in HV/LV line .To ensure that all procedures must be followed by all employees, sub-contractors or client representatives before /after starting.
      • Maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage /use of substances.
      • Implement emergency procedures – evacuation in case of fire or other significant incident.
      • Achieving our targets towards Zero injuries at the working environment.
